Hello my blog friends. Bob has been working steadily on the bathroom renovation and has finished the following:
The flooring was removed down to the subfloor.
New flooring was installed to match the rest of the downstairs.
The over-the-toilet window has been removed since we didn’t need 2 windows in such a small space.
The walls were spackled, sanded, and painted.
A new toilet was installed.
A new light fixture was installed.
Bob has started modifying the antique dresser into a custom vanity.
I really love how it is coming out, and I’ve been assembling a collection of wall decor to finish everything once we’re ready for it. Hopefully in a month or so I’ll be able to reveal the finished room.
Yesterday Bob and I went to the Philadelphia Flower Show. It was such a fun day. We left the car in the Woodlawn Station parking lot and took the train in. Here are some of my favorite photos.
This is one of the miniature scenes, which depicts Mr. Miyagi’s training dojo from The Karate Kid |
Afterwards, we ate lunch at Reading Terminal Market before catching the Patco train back to our car. We were pretty tired after being on our feet for hours, but it was worth it.
Until next time!
