Variety Show

This has been a very busy couple of weeks for us. I went to see an otolaryngologist for a checkup on my right ear, since my hearing has been decreasing over the years due to Ménière’s disease. She ended up giving me two steroid injections in my eardrum, one week apart, to see if any of the hearing could be restored. Unfortunately there was no change after two injections, but I must admit I was happy not to have a third one. I’ll be checking out hearing aids soon so I can continue to sing in choir and chorus here in the park.

And speaking of music, our women’s chorus and harmonica group has been practicing for the park’s annual variety show which was held this past Wednesday and Thursday. The theme was the 50’s and 60’s, and it was far more fun than I thought it would be to dress up and be a part of the production.

On Monday Bob has cataract surgery on one eye, and in a week the doctor will operate on the second eye, so we will be busy with that. And then it will be time to start planning our trip to visit family. How the winter has flown!
