Cape May Zoo

Sunday was a zoo day! Bob and I took Quinn and Ben to the Cape May Zoo. It was a warm day, so we all brought our water bottles, and Ben chose a pink bag for his. Good to know he's not bound by gender stereotypes. He carried the look with aplomb.
They had a blast. Quinn is at that age when she loves baby animals, and was excited to see so many. Ben really just wanted to see a goldfinch but was disappointed not to find one. I told him to have Mom and Dad buy some finch food for their bird feeder.

The zoo has a lot of wooden signs perfect for photo opps and the kids wanted their photographs taken at all of them. Here are two of my favorites.

The children really had a fun weekend, and we enjoyed spending time with them. All too soon it was Monday, time for them to go home, and twelve year old Rob took their place.

Today was an at-home day, with some swimming in the pool and soaking in the hot tub, crafting, and relaxing. Rob enjoyed making s'mookies and roasting marshmallows.
I have heard of people getting accidentally locked in their RV shower, and today it happened to Bob. One of the kids must have been playing with the latch and so when Bob slammed the shower doors shut, the latch engaged. Fortunately I was not out walking the dog! After he came out I played with the latch and discovered that you can open the latched door just wide enough to push a comb against the latch, which pops it open. Since we keep a comb in the shower, one is always handy.  Now we know how to escape if it happens again.

We have lots of fun planned for tomorrow! Stay tuned!
