Wildwood Day

I mentioned in an earlier post this week that I had never been to Wildwood. We decided that today was the day to go, since it was sunny and warm. Wildwood opens at 11:00 am, rather late I feel, but since that's about when we arrived it was no big deal. We were walking onto the boardwalk at 11:00 and I was surprised to hear over the loudspeakers a request for everyone to stop and stand for our National Anthem. Just about everyone did. Many sang, or put their hands over their hearts.

We walked along the boardwalk and the sun continued to beat down. It was HOT! Bob and I felt it would be best to take the tram back to where we started, so after about a mile we grabbed some Polish Water Ice and hopped on the tram. It was worth the $3 a person not to have to walk back!

We had packed a lunch which was in the car in a cooler, so that we could eat lunch before taking a swim in the ocean. The only thing was that when the boys saw how far a walk it was to the water they opted to return to the campground to swim in the pool instead! It was a looooong walk from the boardwalk. So we didn't get to the ocean.

Alex had been wanting to weave so I warped up my little Ashford Sample It Loom. He is weaving a scarf for his little sister, Jillian.
We finished the day with a game of Uno and 3-2-1 Cake and S'Mookies for dessert.

Tonight is their last night in the motorhome, since tomorrow we swap out Adam and Alex for Quinn and Ben.
