New Years Day

I hope everyone reading this had a nice New Years Eve.  It was quiet for us, as it always is. I have no interest in staying up late or drinking, and Bob feels the same way. So as is typical for us, we were in bed before 10:00 pm.

On the first day of 2015 we got up, got the rig ready, and drove off towards Laredo.  I got behind the wheel for the last hour and a half and did fine. It was good to get a little more practice in before my road test tomorrow.

We settled in to our campsite (where there are signs all over to beware of snakes) and drove the car into town to see where we would be tested tomorrow. Because of divided highways it takes a bit of driving around to get to the DPS, but we now know where we are going.

The weather has been spitting rain all day, with temperatures in the low 40's, rather a miserable day. We are both looking forward to shaking the dust of this town off our feet tomorrow.  Keeping fingers crossed for good road test results!
